Brit Awards 2013: ecco i vincitori

Mercoledì scorso si sono svolti a Londra i Brit Awards, i premi britannici che vanno agli artisti più quotati nel Regno Unito. L’evento, che è stato ospitato dalla O2 Arena, ha premiato tutte le band e i cantanti che hanno scalato le classifiche di tutto il mondo. Grandi riconoscimenti sono andati a…

…Coldplay, Adele, Emeli Sandé e One Direction. Questi ultimi, in particolare, hanno vinto nella nuova categoria dedicata al successo globale (BRITs Global Success). Per quanto riguarda i premi agli artisti non britannici, i due nomi a spiccare sono stati quelli di Frank Ocean (International Male Solo Artist) e Lana Del Rey (International Female Solo Artist).

A dare il via allo spettacolo dei Brit Awards sono stati i Muse, che si sono esibiti in “Supremacy“. Questa, però, non è stata l’unica esibizione della serata, e ai Muse sono seguiti One Direction, Taylor Swift (che si è esibita brillantemente ma non ha ricevuto alcun premio) e addirittura Justin Timberlake, che per l’occasione ha sfoggiato un elegante smoking e ha cantato ‘Mirrors‘.

Emeli Sandé è stata nominata miglior artista britannica femminile e si è portata a casa anche il titolo di miglior album per il suo debutto discografico: ‘Our Version of Events‘, che è stato in testa alla classifica inglese per più di un anno. La cantante ha battuto grandi nomi internazionali come Mumford & Sons, Plan B e Paloma Faith per il titolo di miglior album.

I fan dei Mumford & Sons, comunque, possono ritenersi soddisfatti: il loro gruppo preferito ha vinto il premio come miglior gruppo britannico. Ai Coldplay è stato assegnato il British Live Act (miglior performance live), battendo anche i Rolling Stones.

Adele si è aggiudicata il premio miglior singolo britannico per il brano ‘Skyfall‘ di James Bond, ma non era presente alla cerimonia e ha dovuto mandare un messaggio registrato da Los Angeles, dove si trova a fare le prove per la notte degli Oscar.
